Welcome to ELOC Cal Ripken T-Ball League Baseball!

Recommended for ballplayers ages 5-6, by April 30, 2022.

FOR INFORMATION ABOUT OUR LEAGUE PLEASE READ THE MESSAGE BELOW

ELOC T-Ball League Information:

DO NOT WAIT TO REGISTER - Throughout the registration process I will monitor the number of players registered, I will then chose coaches for teams based on those numbers.  This process works best if players are registered early in the process so that we have a much better idea the amount of coaches and teams we will need.  There will be no more than 11 players per team and once teams are full we will have a waiting list.

Registration Requests & Teams - T-Ball players will not have an assessment period, we will review the registrations comments and do our best to accommodate however honoring all requests will not be possible so please understand this when registering your player.  The process works best if players register as early, it much more of a challenge to accommodate players who sign up later.    T-Ball team names will be that of minor league baseball.

T-Ball Coaching - T-Ball needs coaches!  If you can coach or even direct traffic please sign up to coach if you have the time!  Our coaches will be required to teach the very basics of baseball and I hope to see parents helping with practice that this age also providing assistance in teaching the game.  See below for more Coaching information and requirements.

Equipment Needs & Helmets - Each play will need a Glove, Cleats & Athletic Supporter (Cup). Each player will also need to purchase their own Helmet with Face Mask so we can limit the sharing of equipment as much as possible, teams will be issued very few helmets for this reason.  Bats for this age group can not be big barrel of any kind so no bigger than 2 1/4 barrel and there are no length restrictions.

Practice & Game Schedule - In T-Ball you can expect your player to be on a baseball field about 2/3 times a week with practices and possible game during the week and one on Saturday, if we have an uneven number of teams that isn't possible so some weeks they won't have a game.  There are no set days for games or practices so they will not be the same days from week to week.  Some coaches may have another field and could practice more often.  At this age most team events will start at 5:30 to 6:45 PM and we try very hard not to schedule anything where the players will be on the field past  8 PM.  T-Ball will practice mainly in open field spaces as they do not need a back stop like older age leagues.  For this age group I wil do my best to keep the times consistent for the season but days and times will move some from week or week.

Seasons - Spring season registration will be available online in January, the season will start at the end of February/beginning of March and will end in June just before School let's out.  The Fall season registrations will be available online in July and the season will start Mid-August and end by mid November.

ELOC Field & Facility Rules - Please make sure to review the ELOC Field Rules posted at the fields. Just as a reminder: NO SMOKING at the facility, pets are never allowed, parking on the main street is not allowed (over flow parking is available near field 1) and profanity and/or arguments will not be tolerated at the Machine Pitch games. Machine Pitch Rules can be round under documents tab from the main website page.  If the Fields are listed as "CLOSED" or an event has been canceled due to weather then no one is permitted to use the ELOC field for any reason whether you are individuals, teams or members.  They are closed for a reason so please respect the decision and club volunteers will do their best to keep the website updated.

Coaching Volunteers - Teams would not exist if it wasn't for volunteers stepping up to coach.  My goal is to have the best possible coaches for teams, I will do my best to work around schedules to do this.  All those hoping to coach must complete the coaches application each season through the registration system.  If the league president finds a team in need of a coach for you and contacts you about taking a team then two other things will be required; Head Coaches must be Babe Ruth Certified ($20 cost).  To become certified please visit www.baberuthcoaching.org (the advanced class is not required).  A background check must be completed for all coaches, they are good for 2 years so returning coaches can just verify they are still valid.  The directions to complete this can be found on "Documents Tab" then to "Coaches Background Check."  Notify the League President once all requirements are complete!

Sponsorship - We just added a new tab on this website for anyone interested in sponsoring our league and teams. These funds go directly to benefiting our players and to keep the league fees as low as possible.  Please support our sponsors and direct any potential sponsors to our website.

Participation & Volunteering - As I stated earlier, this league is run by volunteers. If you have a talent that does not include throwing or catching a baseball or even a like for the sport there still might be a way for you to help volunteer you time to the league and/or team. I look a this as very simple, if you want to see change then be a part of the change! That is exactly what I am doing and I encourage everyone to get involved in their players league to make it better!
