EAST LINCOLN OPTIMIST SOFTBALL
Girls ages 6 - 16

East Lincoln Optimist Softball teams will be playing in the North Meck Filly League again for the spring and fall 2009 seasons. The NMFL consists of teams primarily from Mallard Creek, Coul-Oak, Davidson, Huntersville, Cornelius, and West Meck. The NMFL plays by the Amateur Softball Association (ASA) rules, along with some NMFL local rules. All of these rules and more are available on the NMFL website.

We play fast pitch softball in five age groups; 8U, 10U, 12U, 14U and 16U.  The 8U teams play modified coach-pitch rules and this group is used as a training division.  Every other group plays age appropriate fast pitch rules.

Half of the games will be played at East Lincoln Optimist Park, and the other half will be played at one of the other complexes. Each team typically plays one game during the week and one on Saturday.  We complete the season with an end of the year tournament.
